About Me

My Background

I have over 25 years of senior leadership, curatorial and producing experience in the cultural and arts sectors, with a history of developing sustainable and inclusive arts programmes and delivering extraordinary creative projects. My career began in Australia, as director of film production company Whipcrack Productions, and as the Executive Director of Experimenta Media Arts in Melbourne, initiating Australia’s national Media Art Biennale and developing international touring and commissioning programmes over ten years.

Moving to London in 2002, I was Project Director at Futurecity, and then built over the next 15 years the Contemporary Art Society’s Consultancy arm, generating a thriving business and delivering national and international cultural placemaking strategies, public art commissions and curatorial projects.

In 2017 I was appointed as one of 50 GLA Mayor’s Design Advocates, and have acted as a trustee and chair for Arts Catalyst, Forma Media Arts and the Macmillan Art Committee. Since 2021 I have branched out as a freelance Cultural Consultant, advising on the Sky Arts Landmark series, co-chairing ULI’s Urban Art Forum and developing creative placemaking strategies and programmes.

I am a passionate and knowledgeable advocate for the arts, with extensive writing, public speaking and media experience and a honed ability to articulate ideas persuasively and inclusively. I am known for acting boldly in the interests of the institutions I represent, influencing and developing networks to realise the vision and mission.

My international outlook, curatorial vision and practical approach lead to inclusive, high quality and sustainable project outcomes which bring the innovation and dynamism of artists into the public arena, for the benefit of all.
